About Us
Our mission is to enrich our community through the arts, with a vision that everyone in our region will have access to high quality arts programming, expression and education.
Celebrating 25 years of the Arts in Swain County.
As part of the Swain County Public Schools System, the Swain Arts Center has been an important part of the Bryson City community since 2000 — a destination for area artist exhibits, community concerts, visiting performer programming for students, student led programs, and community celebrations.
The perfect venue to showcase talent.
The Swain Arts Center is equipped to offer high quality light and sound production.
Thanks to our steep raked seating and amazing engineered acoustics, every seat is a great seat.
Two backstage dressing rooms are available for performers. The rooms feature lighted mirrors and space for wardrobe storage. Restrooms are located adjacent to the dressing rooms.
A large courtyard with amphitheater seating provides an opportunity for intimate outdoor programs.
High Definition projection paired with our state of the art sound system and a giant screen, turns the Swain Arts Center into an outstanding movie theater.
Our large lobby is ideal for hosting small events and classes.
There are over 100 lighting instruments ranging from 575 watts to 1000 watts to light up our large stage.
A large stage with a complete fly system, roll up doors and a loading dock at the rear makes the Swain Arts Center a great destination for traveling shows.
The Swain Arts Center is available for use by qualified independent organizations for compatible events and activities. Please review our policies and guidelines below. For more information, Contact Joe Holt, Director.
